Celebrating Excellence in Road Safety

Every year, RSE and our major partners recognise the contribution of individuals, schools, Police members and community groups with their ‘Supporting Excellence in Road Safety’ Awards. This year, we took advantage of the yellow spotlight and shone it on some hard-working supporters.

 

Australian Awardees

In Australia we celebrated the dedication of the following indviduals and organisations:

BOC RYDA Champion – Iain McKean (Rotary Club of Bathurst)
Toyota Community Award – The Wagga Wagga Rotary RYDA Committee
Bridgestone School Award – All Saints Anglican School (Gold Coast)
Boral Police Award – Wide Bay Burnett District
RSE Facilitator Award – Andrea Bigham

New Zealand Awardees

In New Zealand we celebrated the dedication of the following indviduals and organisations:

BOC RYDA Champion – Pat Clay (Rotary Club of Blenheim)
NZ Steel Facilitator Award – Kelly Munford
Bridgestone School Award – Mount Maunganui College
VTNZ Student Award – Xanthe Maketoni
Toyota Community Award – Marlborough District Council

Yellow Ribbon Road Safety Alliance Hero Award – Chris Horrocks

The winners were announced on Monday, 15 May at the Royal NZ Yacht squadron during the National Launch for Road Safety Week. We congratulate this year’s honourees and thank the many people who came along to celebrate their achievements and get into the spirit of Yellow Ribbon Road Safety Week.
